Salman earned his Masters degree in Social Work from Rutgers University in New Brunswick with a specialty in children, adolescents, and mental health services. Salman is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for the state of New Jersey.
Salman has worked in the mental health field for over 10 years working primarily in school settings focusing on children and adolescents. He specializes in working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Anxiety and Depression. Salman believes in a person-centered approach where the goal of the therapist is to increase the client's self-acceptance and self-esteem, reduce negative feelings, increase understanding and build trust of oneself. Salman believes that building the relationship between client and therapist is vital to ensuring successful outcome as the client embarks on their path towards self-discovery and growth.
Salman works full time as a Mental Health Clinician for a therapeutic school that serves children and adolescents (grades K-12). Salman enjoys spending time with his wife, friends, family and cats Zuko and Biko. Salman is an avid movie and tv watcher. Salman is a self-proclaimed foodie, willing to travel great distances to find the next best eats.
