Marcia Ginlock is Licensed Associate Counselor in New Jersey. She earned a master’s degree in counseling and a post-master’s certificate in advanced counseling techniques from Montclair State University.
Marcia has over 18 years of clinical experience working in various capacities of mental health. She is a multiculturally competent counselor that has worked in outpatient, inpatient and day treatment program settings. She has worked with adults diagnosed with severe mental health challenges, homelessness and co-occurring disorders. Marcia has a vast amount of experience working with adolescents, couples, and families. Her specialization for counseling includes working with individuals that are experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety, bereavement, parenting/coparenting, and marital and family therapy. Marcia utilizes a multimodal approach, focusing on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Person-Centered Therapy techniques. She believes that it is important to develop a team approach when working with clients. She works collaboratively with her clients to develop mindfulness, goal setting skills and effective coping strategies. When she is not providing counseling services, Marcia enjoys spending time with her family. Cooking and baking and experimenting with different recipes. She also enjoys traveling and gardening.
